On Friday, Johannes Stern, editor of the German-language edition of the World Socialist Web Site, joined journalist Katie Halper on The Katie Halper Show to discuss the case of Bogdan Syrotiuk, the 27-year-old Ukrainian socialist sentenced on August 10 to 15 years in prison for his articles opposing the US-NATO war against Russia and the glorification of Nazi collaborators in Ukraine.

In the wide-ranging conversation, Stern reviews the frame-up of Syrotiuk by the Ukrainian Security Service (SBU), the court order for the destruction of his socialist books and documents, the complete media blackout of the case, and its connection to the rehabilitation of fascist forces in Ukraine and the revival of German militarism.
